Support a Missionary!

As many of you know, I'm home this summer raising support to serve for another year at Black Forest Academy. I could not do what I do without the support of people like you, and support raising is a lifestyle that must be maintained regularly. So this summer, in addition to speaking at churches, meeting with individuals, and pretty much telling my story to anyone who will listen, I'm trying out a new approach.

During the month of July, I'd like to give a special thank you gift to new supporters who commit to a monthly gift of $25 or more for the next two years.

During my second week home I was able to visit friends and supporters in Greencastle, Indiana.

re-entry

The more time I spend outside the United States, the harder it is to come back. After spending time in Germany, in a culture that doesn't emphasize material wealth but instead values healthy lifestyles and family interaction, I find myself feeling overwhelmed walking through Wal-Mart or watching the commercials on TV.

But this post isn't about reverse culture shock. It's about all the things in America that I miss.

the last week

I'm back! After a very crazy last week of school, a week of "re-entry" into the United States, and a week visiting friends in Indiana, the blog is back in business.

Let's start with the last week of school. If you didn't already know, the middle school is moving to the former elementary school building in Sitzenkirch, while the elementary school is moving to Wollbach.

A = Sitzenkirch, B = Kandern, C = Wollbach
