the last week

I'm back! After a very crazy last week of school, a week of "re-entry" into the United States, and a week visiting friends in Indiana, the blog is back in business.

Let's start with the last week of school. If you didn't already know, the middle school is moving to the former elementary school building in Sitzenkirch, while the elementary school is moving to Wollbach.

Part of my year-end responsibilities included packing up my classroom and office. Actually, most of my year-end responsibilities included packing up my classroom and office. It involved boxes. Lots and lots of boxes.

Packing my classroom was sad, because it reminded me of packing up my classroom in Indiana two years ago. This time, though, I didn't have to say goodbye to all of my students because I will see them again in my new classroom! Well, all but the eighth graders [sniff, sniff].

The majority of the people helping with the move were not actually middle school staff, so we had to label EVERYTHING to make sure it didn't get left behind. That part was fun.
