After an amazing week in Lugano, it was quite difficult for the eighth graders to return to "normal" life again. At that point, we still had four more weeks of classes before exams, and we needed the students to be motivated and focused so that they could make it through! And while the sixth and seventh graders didn't go away for their Experiential Learning Week, they did go on field trips, visit other BFA campuses, and had their own fun learning experiences. So for everyone, teachers included, the thought of four more weeks of school was sort of a drag. One way we remedied that situation was to have a Spirit Week, with each day having a different theme. It gave us all something to look forward to and helped to make that first week back an exciting one! As a staff we managed to coordinate some pretty great costumes so here are our daily photos! I am so blessed to work with such a fun and fun-loving staff here in the middle school!

On Friday we made our costumes interactive, and played a life-size game of Guess Who with the students during lunch. People make fun of me for having a board on Pinterest devoted to costumes, but this is something I had pinned months ago and was just itching to do...and judging by the kids' reactions, it was a huge success!!
